About Debra
Debra Cyr, owner of Curl Up & Dye Innovative Salon, has two main driving forces in her life – the passion for learning and the passion to help people. With over twenty years in the salon industry, Debra’s experience and training from such prestigious academies as Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Allen Edwards, Redken, Goldwell, and more, led her from Alaska (where she was born) and New York to the salons of Orange County, CA.
For Debra, every day is a new opportunity to learn about people and share their lives. To give someone a new look and make them feel good both inside and out is a challenge Debra relishes.
Living in California was great, but when Debra’s daughter left for college (Debra has been a single mom ever since cancer took her husband early in their marriage), Debra saw the opportunity to bring something new to Bend – a salon where people can relax and unwind, be pampered, and get exceptional service from top notch professionals using top-of-the-line hair products. Curl Up & Dye has been around since 2005 and is gaining notoriety daily.
Giving back to her community is always of utmost importance to Debra. While in Southern California, she was instrumental in establishing the “Look Good, Feel Better” program for women in cancer treatment at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. She’s also worked with Kids Konnected, an organization whose mission is to provide friendship, understanding, education, and support for the children who have a parent with cancer, or have lost a parent to cancer.
Check out our Hope Room if you are a cancer treatment patient or know one. Curl Up and Dye is committed helping cancer treatment patients look and feel their best in a comfortable, private setting.
